Since taking the Brain Gym® course my water bottle is with me pretty much all of the time to do PACE (a series of Brain Gym® movements) or for just a healthy sip of water. I mainly just use PACE at certain times of the day and it is now starting to feel like a habit eg. right after waking up; at the start of a desk-work, before bed. I also use it throughout the day, for instance if I am feeling scattered, or just when I want to 'take 5' for myself. As well, I have started to use PACE with my daughter to help transition for homework time.

Since using Brain Gym®, I am now much more aware of when stress is creeping in, and find it easier to feel calm and in control before the stress can take hold. I notice that I get that sense of quiet alertness, and fun, much more often throughout the day, it’s the same feeling that I get after doing Tai Chi.

In the workshop I was able to feel/experience the subtle internal changes as you guided our movements and awareness. You just can't get that from reading about it or sitting through a lecture. I also really appreciated hearing other people share their goals and experience particularly for the Action Balance (5 step process). Even though we are all so different, so many good ideas came out to let me see how I can address similar areas of struggle in my own life.

Personally, I have found that using the Lengthening Activities have made a big difference, when I am about to take on a stressful work task (complex report with tight deadline). I rotate among The Calf Pump, The Footflex, The Owl, Brain Gym® movements until I feel like I am done (luckily, I am usually at my home office for this). Eventually, I come to feel like I am ready to face the work task, which now does not appear to be as daunting as before doing Brain Gym®. I can see the big picture, feel more in control, and can get down to work without feeling stressed. Magic.

As an Occupational Therapist, I can see the potential professional applications of Brain Gym®. Being relatively easy to apply, the Brain Gym® system can be used to assist clients overcome a vast array of identified barriers, to enhance their engagement and success in everyday activities.

I have strongly recommended the course to my colleges (for their personal benefit, as well as potential uses in practice).
