Executive Brain functions and Cognitive Fitness Strategies for success for ADHD & Autism! (Markham)
January 24th, 2012,  6:30pm to 9:30pm

Research has found a reduced blood flow to the frontal lobe (part of the brain) of people with ADD/ADHD.  As blood flow is an indicator of brain activity, a reduced flow in the frontal lobes suggests lowered functioning in this area.  Since our frontal lobes are critical to the brains executive functions which affect our ability to achieve positive results in life, this is problematic. 

There are 5 areas of Executive Functioning that are affected by ADD/ADHD, ironically the same areas are affected with Autism;  Learn about which executive functions of the brain are impacted by ADHD (ADD) and Autism and learn how Cognitive Fitness Tools can support the re-connection in those areas of the brain for WHOLE BRAIN SUCCESS!! This is the ideal path for the individual who would like more than the Introduction to Brain Gym® but is not quite ready for full certificate course.

Brain Gym® Basics includes the introductory workshop, plus one full day of learning. Building on the foundational knowledge from the Intro to Brain Gym®, the participant accelerates to an intermediate skill level and can begin to apply their new knowledge in various settings for personal goals and support family and friends. This certificate course is for the individual who is developing their professional training portfolio and is ready to deeply nurture their own personal development to make positive changes in every aspect of life.

Brain Gym® 101 is the first step to becoming a licensed Brain Gym® Consultant/Instructor. This is where advanced skills of this level one course are acquired. Once licensing is complete, the person can be remunerated for providing Brain Gym® services. Details at www.braingym.org

Upon completion, the graduate becomes part of an International organization recognized in 90 countries worldwide and is able to foster in-depth personal and professional development through highly defined self-awareness and the knowledge gained by the use of the entire Brain Gym® menu of movements.
